It’s been some time since our last update on the shop car and we have some new things going on for 2015. Out first official installment this year features some new technology with the installation of an Edelbrock Progressive Nitrous Controller and a wide band O2 sensor system with data logging capabilities from Daytona Sensors LLC.. Then we put the new hardware to work testing out fresh tune ups from Induction Solutions for the NOS Big Shot plate installed on the near 600 horsepower 468 cubic inch big Chevy under the hood. Follow along to see what kind of results we get.

We were assured the new engine is under the PDRA’s newly instituted 960 cubic inch limit imposed for the 2016 season though actual displacement is undisclosed at this time.
This is the second event for Heads Up Madness this year. With Fridays test session wrapped up we are sad to report Jerico Balduff got crossed up early and the Bat Man Willys made a hard turn across the track and into the wall. Balduff is OK but teyt will not be able to race this weekend. They were rolling out just as I was getting there.

Jamie Hancock has attended two races this year with the Hancock Racing Pro Mod Corvette and is putting up some fantastic numbers for a nitrous car, well for any car, running right in the thick of the Radial vs. the World class at Lights Out V and the Outlaw Street Car Reunion at Memphis just last weekend, recording the quickest time for a nitrous radial car with a 4.164 at 177.3 MPH. All this is which a car that has not seen the track since 2010. Jamie also won the 2007 ADRL Pro Nitrous Championship with this car making him the youngest professional drag racing champion at the time.
